Katie signed up for band in grade 5, but there were no more saxophones available. Sadly, she trudged down the hall to the orchestra room. She played cello through college and later in community orchestras, until one day there was a need a for string bass player. She made the change to bass and never looked back.
After years in symphony and chamber orchestras, Katie is finally in band! Never underestimate a woman with an electric bass.
