Brad has been playing trombone for over 50 Years. He studied music and engineering at Clackamas Community College and Portland State University – while in college, he played with the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Over the years, Brad has played in multiple big bands, jazz combos, brass quintets, trombone choirs, and rock bands.
Brad enjoys improvising when the opportunity arises. In addition to VanPort, he is currently a member of a Latin jazz combo, Rose City Trombone Choir, Loafers Rock Band, and Coastal Crusaders wedding band. He is also available for freelancing as his schedule permits.
